Taking a Trip: Cafe Einstein/Lebensstern in Berlin

On top of Cafe Einstein is Lebensstern bar. We had food and wine in the cafe before checking out upstairs. It was one of my favorite bars to go to while in Berlin... great staff... great history of the long standing building as well.

They recommended another place in the neighborhood which I will post soon.

The blurry photo underneath is a gift to Lebensstern from Quentin Tarantino. Turns out he filmed one of the scenes of Inglorious Bastards there and wanted to tell them talk you. He would hang out there all the time while he was staying in Berlin.

I made a cheese plate from all the cheeses that I purchased at the gourmet market in KaDaWe in Berlin. More pictures to come from the market. I felt like the best food in Berlin is in all the markets, whether it's in the famous Kaufhaus des Westens or a Farmer's Market in one of their squares.

I got invited to go to the closing party for Berlin Fashion week. One of the best things about Berlin was the music scene. No matter where you went, there was always great music playing.

Taking a Trip: The Hoff in Berlin

Just got back from Germany... The 8 hour plan ride back to the U.S. felt rough, but I'm glad to be back home in NYC.

David Hasselhoff's music is BIG in Europe, which I always found amusing. I was trying to get his album for some "inspirational" gifts for some friends back here that are musicians in the states and I couldn't find any. I was too embarrassed to ask a sales person for the CD too. I just missed him on tour by a hair. Shame...

Free Access: The Drums at Webster Studio

Large fashion crowd was there. I got there just as the supporting band was about to finish their set and I left quickly after the encore. I had to meet some friends that are in town.

I didn't leave my apartment until 11:55pm... walked to see my friends at D&Co... swang by Cienfuegos/El Cobre... said hello to the guys at Mayahuel (which ended up closing really early) and going quickly to a party in West Village and finally ending at Bua. It was just like any normal ordinary night...
