What I Want: Chanel Tape Clutch

If you can't already tell, I'm really obsessed with music... it's pretty much right next to fashion. Years ago, when I wasn't able to afford anything over $200, I saw this Chanel clutch. So, for the last few years, I've been obsessed with trying to finding it. I archive things in my head that I haven't been able to get ahold of over the years. When I found this on the Luxirare shop... I literally died because it's the same one I have been looking for, for over half a decade. The price on the clutch is still steep considering how old it is, but since I did get myself an apartment, I won't be able to throw money down on this clutch. If I ever get to find one later on, I would never sell it.

What to Wear Daily: Gareth Pugh

(Taken By Nioka in Williamsburg)

I dress the best at night... I always feel like during the day I should be in a t-shirt and jeans. I got this Gareth Pugh black and white jacket from his Spring 2009 collection a while back and I haven't posted it. I'll do another post so you can really see the jacket another time.

I have been stressed lately... I will be moving into my own place in a few days and I will be back to living solo. I am looking forward to it. Luckily I found a new place relatively quick. It's really competitive to find new digs in NYC... I looked at the place and gave them all my paperwork within the hour, so no one else would take it. Luckily I won't be moving too far away from my current place (which literally means moving directly across the street.)

Guess...

Who I saw last night...

Here is a hint.

"I believe that we have to go forward and I believe that we have to go with change, but there are certain things that are beautiful to leave as they are. And fashion is not always about what’s new, it’s also about what’s good. And I think if you need to see what’s good, you have to be there."

Moschino (Meatpacking District)

How great is this window display?

"I have to say something if I want to sing
But it's not about the words
It's my voice rising
To a place far from me
That my fingers can't reach
And my legs are so tired from all this standing
Standing still"

Painkiller NYC

(Painkiller photo from examiner.com)

I was invited to go to Painkiller's opening night for 'Friends and Family.' Painkiller is a Tiki Bar located on Essex and Grand in the Lower East Side. The place was insanely packed and humid. It was a lot of fun running into friends there. There is a string of rum bars that will be opening in NYC in the next few months. I also got to go to another opening for Cienfuegos last week as well. My dear and sweet friend is running the bar program there. The bar screams her personality. I highly recommend going to these places as soon as you can, before it's just too difficult to even get inside.

Taking a Trip: Prada NYC

Usually when people some to visit and they want to go shopping in SoHo, I make it a point to have them walk through the Prada store that is on Broadway. The store is just so amazing. Even if you can't afford to buy anything there, I suggest just to walk down the stairs.

I saw so many great buildings while my brothers were here. There were a lot of pics taken of my back... First one is my hallway and the next is Prada. They were filming The Smurfs moving in my building and on my balcony... they were taking my whole block to film. When I walked out at 11pm to say goodbye to a good friend that is moving back to SF, I'm pretty sure I walked through them filming. There was absolutely no other way to get out of my building... So, when and if you watch it... you'll see my building. (:
